Coursework and Examination Credit Notice for Part IIB of the Engineering Tripos, 2018-2019
The Examiners for the Engineering Tripos Part IIB to be taken in 2019 will take account of coursework produced by candidates. The Faculty Board has determined that this shall consist of coursework with the requirements and total marks available set out below.

Modules may be assessed either by: | |
a 1.5 hour written paper | 60 marks |
a written paper and coursework | 45 and 15 marks respectively |
coursework alone | 60 marks |
a dissertation | 60 marks |
Project
Projects will be graded into categories (I, II.1, II.2, 3) based on the various assessed components whose relative weighting is reflected in the following approximate percentages. Examiners will only see the final moderated grades: the approximate percentages are for internal administrative purposes and will not be retained.

Students are expected to undertake all the coursework as specified above. Details of allowances approved by the Faculty Board can be found in the allowance document on CUED' undergraduate teaching web site. Work submitted for marking must be that of the student who submits it, as defined in the plagiarism, cooperating and cheating guidelines.
